Travel fatigue VS Couchsurfing fatigue

Tiring of the constant checking of the phone and email for the next hosts acceptance.

Tiring of sitting in coffee shops waiting for hosts to return home.

Tiring of feeling uncomfortable in every space occupied.

Tiring of the ever-repeating introductions to housemates and friends.

The inevitable run-in with the housemate who doesn’t like surfers and didn’t know there was ‘another one’ staying.

Tiring of the hosts who want to take you out drinking each night.

Tiring of having to adopt the sleeping pattern of each host.

Recognising that none of these are real problems, they are necessary and mild aspects of being a surfer.

Recognising it is the combining of them with the travel fatigue, that makes them. Makes them giant, forceful and rapidly intolerable.

Tiring of packing the bag.

Tiring of temporary living.

Tiring of searching for grocery stores.

Tiring of checking maps to learn the new neighbourhood.

Tiring of limited income.

Tiring of 90 day visa deadlines.

Tiring of thinking on where next to fly.

Tiring of changing scenery.

Travel Fatigue heightened by Couchsurfing Fatigue.
